How to Set Up Your EPG (TV Guide)
Follow this guide to add the TV schedule to your favorite IPTV app.
What is an EPG?
An **EPG (Electronic Program Guide)** is your interactive TV guide. It displays scheduling information for current and upcoming programs, so you can see what's on now, what's coming up next, and read show descriptions, all from within your IPTV app.
1. Your Unique EPG Link
Your EPG link is based on your M3U playlist credentials. Use the format below, replacing the XXX parts with your specific username and password.
http://ipcool.club/xmltv.php?username=XXX&password=XXX
Example:
If your M3U username is user123 and your password is pass456, your EPG link will be:
http://ipcool.club/xmltv.php?username=user123&password=pass456
2. How to Add the EPG to Your App
Most modern IPTV apps have a specific field for an "EPG Source", "XMLTV Link", or "TV Guide URL". Here’s where to find it in a few popular apps.
IPTV Smarters Pro
When adding your playlist via M3U URL, you will see a field named "EPG URL (Optional)". Paste your unique EPG link there. If you log in with the Xtream Codes API, the EPG is usually included automatically.
TiviMate
Go to Settings → Playlists → (Select Your Playlist) → EPG sources. Tap "Add EPG source" and paste your unique EPG link.
Kodi
In the PVR IPTV Simple Client add-on settings, go to the EPG Settings tab. Set the Location to "Remote Path" and paste your unique EPG link into the "XMLTV URL" field.
Troubleshooting EPG Issues
- EPG Not Loading? Double-check that the username and password in your EPG link are exactly the same as your M3U credentials.
- Program Times are Incorrect? Look for an "EPG Time Shift" or "Offset" setting in your app and adjust it by hours (+1, -1, etc.) to match your local time.
- Some Channels Have No Guide? EPG data may not be available for all international channels. This is normal.
